Mini-Bus Driver (SP)

The Penrose Club for Adults with Special Needs (SP)

The Penrose Club for Adults with Special Needs (“Penrose”) meets once a week, every Tuesday evening, between 7.30 - 9.30 to provide social activities and entertainment for approximately 50 members over the age of 16 with special needs/learning difficulties (“members”) who are resident in the local area.  Penrose activities are supported by 15-20 unpaid volunteers. Penrose is a registered charity, affiliated to Mencap and was formed over 50 years ago. Penrose has been providing its services from Hengrove Hall in Ashford.

The Penrose Club is is looking for mini-bus drivers.

The commitment is on a rota basis depending on the number of drivers.  Currently the Club has two drivers. If the Club can get a third driver then it will be one Tuesday every three weeks and a 4th driver one Tuesday every four weeks.  The driver will need to be available for approximately three hours, which is typically 5.30pm – 7.00pm and 9.00pm – 10.30pm on the Tuesday evening he/she is covering.

It is an easy process - the key will be dropped off with the driver, who will pick-up the mini-bus from Staines, carry out 4-5 pick-ups in and around Egham, Staines and Sunbury then drive to the Club in Ashford.  Information and help will be given to any driver who is interested.
